Other general scenic skills

Cartoon style

Use black paint to mark out the shapes, filling in with corresponding colours. Adding simple shadows and adding white highlights to make the syrup shiny.

Designer - Yu Song

Abstract Texturing

Sponging grey tones over a black base in cloud-like formations, adding a black wash over the top. Using a mop head to splatter and drag black in uneven crosshatching formations.

Designer - Sifan Chen ‘Stella’

Brick Work

Using emulsion paint on plastic vac-formed bricks, a mixture of painting, washes and sponging.

Tree texturing

Use a spray gun to apply the base colours, dry brushing and sponging to add bark texturing. Applying dried moss and sponging paint replicates lichen.

Designer - Llew Morgan
