Inspired by my love of world-building, I started a conceptual design project with the goal of bringing a range of characters from a colourful fantasy world to life. With an end goal of creating a physical sculpture.

Picking and finalising the types of bug for each character.
I picked bugs that symbolise traits for the characters such as bees representing wisdom and being the mentor or guide character.
Bumble bee cloak design. I wanted to include details from the bugs such as their fuzz into their costume, rather than the being itself.
