Props List and design ideas

The designers wanted to use found objects as well as using recycled materials for the prop makes. This heavily impacted the designs for the cows.

The process of making a milky white face involves altering the base of the milk bottle to create the nose.

Next was adding wooden balls into a slit made into plastic, creating eyes as well as defining the bridge of the cow’s nose.

Lastly, I painted the eyeballs, then added lashes, nostrils and a mouth using a black card.

The first step in the process is making the internal structure which was made with sticks and scriming.

The next step was using tissues paper to create the skin, an gum stripping the inside for strength.

Adding accessories such as, crepe paper trim, pink washing up glove udders, fabric tail, cup feet and a cow bell around her neck.

Making the oat milk cow was the exact same process just scaled down.

The Bread

For the bread, I used a two-part mix of soft foam. I also used silicone cake tins as the moulds for the loaves of bread and various plastic containers for different-shaped baked goods.

I used acrylic paints to render the foam bread.

Various other props

I sourced a book to render on top of.

I used acrylic paints.

I used metallic acrylic paint to add a front cover design and other embellishments.

I was told that we needed a knife that couldn’t be considered a weapon.

I came up with the idea of fashioning sticks into a knife shape, as sticks would suit the aesthetic of the show.

I used super glue and twine to keep the sticks in place.

To make the corn I used a can as the base and used crepe paper to create the leaves, scrunched up tissue paper to create the kernels.

I brushed out some twine to create the corn silk.

The golden harp (the stereo) and the golden egg were spray painted gold.

The golden egg was tinfoil shaped into an egg shape and spray painted.
